Missing my Dad, a Vietnam Veteran

In 2009, I lost my father to Multiple Myeloma, a form of bone cancer that continues to afflict many of the Veterans exposed to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. Diagnosed in January, he fought a valiant battle - symbolic of the soldier he was. Unfortunately, he lost that battle May, 2009. Today, I would like to honor my father's memory by sharing him with all of you, my scrapbooking family. Although it has been more than a year since his death, I still cannot find the strength to scrapbook our most special moments together. I am inspired by my father's love of life and family. He was taken from us much too soon.

I would like to share my love of scrapbooking at my local Veteran's center by volunteering to hold scrapbooking classes. I am just unsure if this would be meaningful enough to them. Has anyone done anything similar? If so, would welcome your thoughts and ideas.

Thank you for allowing me to share my Dad Victor with you today. God Bless our Veterans, our soldiers who continue to serve and protect, and God Bless our Nation.

  1. So nice that you woud like to share with veterans. I have never done anything like this, but I'm sure you will do a great job seeing as it is so close to your heart. All the best with the project. #271 following from Stampin Connection.
